As usual Umphrey`s brings it! F-n bad ass show beginning to end. The crowd was pumped. Unfortunatly I had to leave early and miss the encore so that I could hang out with Jake, Ryan, and Joel at the after party at Cary Street Cafe!!!!! This show was something else but watching Jake stroll up to my local bar and rock out with Gongzilla with Ryan and Joel chillin in the crowd, while I watch from about a foot away, words cannot describe. Joel, Mike still wants you to come and chill at his house and yes he still lives right down the street. Richmond represent!!!!
I`ve seen UM a good many times, and try to d/l as much live shows as possible... I can honestly say this is some of the sickest improv/jamming I have ever heard them play. I think they were pumped to play Richmond for the first time and in such an intimate, new venue. They jam in just about every song. Highlights are definitely the Intentions Clear > Plunger, Ringo > Rock Fuzz > Ringo, and the insane Hey 19.
I drove to this show from Boone, and it was worth the trip as always when UM is involved. The venue was awesome and Hey 19! UM definitely seemed to enjoy themselves.
