The John Anson Ford Theatre AKA Mini-Red Rocks is the best kept secret in Los Angeles. The trees and the stone structures and everything, including Umphrey`s were just incredible. Throw in a jam with Stephen Perkins and Willie Waldman who opened with their current band, Banyan, and this truly was an unforgettable evening. SoCal got the "Song Remains the Same" encored last time UM came through, but I guess you can`t really complain when your favorite band is playing a classic. Supposedly, this is the last West Coast run of the year for the boys. I hope that ain`t true, but if it is, t`was a pretty memorable run, as always. Peace.
