We convinced about 12 good friends of ours to meet us in N'awlins for Jazz Fest, and this may well be the highlight of the whole trip. Yeah the show didn't start until almost 3AM!!! Tips BLOWS AWAY the H.O.B. in too many ways to count. Baba O-Reiley was great when Brendan (instead of saying Yer all wasted) says "YER ALL FUCKED UP!!!" Quite an accurate observation of 500+ people raging at 5am. The Waiting Room to finish while the sun was comng up was the powdered sugar on the beignet! I told Brendan when I ran into him in Amsterdam 1 year later during Jam In The Dam he was wearing a Tippitina's shirt and I told him about that show and how The Waiting Room was 3 minutes and 25 seconds of musical genius. He agreed and mentioned that they hadn't played that song in a while. They thanked me by tearing it up for me as the encore that night! These guys flat out rock and this show is AWESOME!!!!

Really fun show. Started early morning (2:45am?) and went until the sun came up. It was a great feeling to walk out of Tips and into the Sunday morning suburbs. As for the music...you can`t go wrong with a Jazz Odyssey > Kabump > Resolution$ > 40`s Theme for an opening string of songs. Setbreak featured music from Gabby La La that eventually segued back into a Norwegian wood jam with all the boys back on stage. Second set seemed considerably darker than the first. An intense Pig>JaJunk was nice, with Jake shredding through the JaJunk ending. Then came a segue fest of Push the Pig > JaJunk, #Blue Echo > Ringo^^ > Red Baron^^ > Ringo > The Triple Wide > Hangover**...well, just download the show and listen...and don`t forget the waiting room!
